One day, a man came to the presence of the God's Messenger and said:
'O God's Messenger. I am perished!'
The Prophet Muhammad said:
'What is it that made you perished?'
He replied:
'I had intercourse with my wife during the fasting hours of Ramadan!'
God's Messenger said:
'Do you have any possession to save a slave from slavery?'
Man said 'No'. God's Messenger asked:
'Can you fast two successive months?'.
Man said 'No'. God's Messenger asked:
'Can you find food to feed 60 poor?'
Man said 'No' and sat down at a short distance from the Prophet. Some time later, a man arrived, bringing a dish of food. The Prophet called out:
'Where is the man who is lost?'
'Here',he answered. Muhammad told him:
“Take this food and give it away in charity.”
'To one poorer than myself? My family has nothing to eat!'
The Prophet replied with a smile.
'Well then, eat it yourselves.'
